Birthday Note Paintables: 2nd in the series

 Hello Crafters!

Welcome back!
Yesterday we started with a simply adorable paintable from Simon Says Stamp and made it an original by adding doodles. Then colored it in using very simple coloring. If you missed yesterday's video you can see the post here.

Today we are going to look at how we get that dimensional shading.

In case you forgot what our card looked like. Also a reminder that I simply forgot to take pictures at each stage lol.

Let's start throwing some shade shall we?
In the nicest possible way of course.

This video is like most of my regular videos. It's a simple run down of color combos and a few techniques. Nothing too fancy.

Tomorrow we'll finish up the card with some detail work and coloring the background.

Thanks for popping in!

  1. Kelly, you always knock my socks off with your amazing colouring. This card is no exception. I LOVE it to bits.

  2. Part 2 is as engaging as Part 1, providing marvelous ideas, tips and encouragement to those of us who think our colouring isn't up to par! Thank you for your discussions about creating colour families. Maybe I can 'redeem' my silly purchase of Copic 'packages' after all...
