Hello Crafters!
Happy Sunday! I hope you're having a lovely weekend.
We spent the day with family yesterday celebrating my nephew's birthday. Apparently, inflatables are all the rage at parties now a days. They are the perfect mixture of unending joy for your children and a constant state of anxiety for the parents.
Kidding, kind of.
The inflatable of choice yesterday featured a "rock" climbing wall on one side and a huge slide on the other. My son is 3. He can climb out of his crib like a stealthy ninja but up an entire wall, no. This left my husband and I with the fantastic challenge of climbing up with him clinging to us like an overexcited monkey in order to hand him off to the other parent who was waiting at the top.
This venture was not always successful. However, our child seemed to enjoy it immensely when we fell over.
He also enjoyed when we actually made it to the top and he got to go down the slide.
The things we do for our children. Am I right?
Speaking of children mine wants to go as a, and I quote, "A BIG dinosaur, RAWR!" He never leaves off the rawr when answer. Never. I am cheap crafty so I'll be making his costume. Lord Jesus, pray for me.
The topic of costumes is exactly what we're talking about in today's card so let's get to it.
I loved the original Cuddly Critters set the Simon released in Spring. You can check out the video I created with the dog from that set here. Now these little charmers have costumes and they are even more adorable. Who even knew that was possible?!
You can watch the card go from blank canvas to super cute fall scene in the video below
Aren't these two just so stinking cute?! I wish I could have fit more characters on there. I guess that's a good excuse to use them on another card :)
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy what's left of your weekend :)
Sounds like a fun party. Wow that card is fantastic! The coloring is super nice and such a fun scene.

ReplyDeleteLove your costume critter card, Kelly! My oldest (now grown, out of college) asked to be a dinosaur from age 4 on. I finally made the costume when he was in second grade. I still have it. I used fabric paint on a sweatshirt & sweatpants, so I really only built the head & the tail. Genius that he is, at 4 he wanted Dad to wear a black garbage bag and go along as the tar pit!
ReplyDeleteLove.
