Hello Crafters!
Today I'm sharing another card using the newest release from Concord & 9th and I have to tell you I'm in love with this stripe.
Now, if you've been a follower here you already know that I'm a huge fan of stretching your stamps. I think if you bought it with your hard earned dollars then you had better get every idea you can out of those stamps. And everything can be a flower :)
I have a craft friend who tells me all the time that anything can be a flower. Anything.
Questionable right? Well I couldn't get the idea for watercolor flowers with stripes out of my head. It was demanding to be made. So I started looking at what I could make into a flower . . .
Oh look at those solid heart stamps . . .hmm and that accent stamp could definitely be leaves . . .
I found myself watercoloring hearts stamped in distress inks into watercolor flowers. I really had no idea how to mask the flowers to get the stripes behind it and I totally struggled even after I came up with putting down liquid miskit.
Finally got this video done for you guys! Thanks for your patience :)
Was anyone else terrified? I think I turned a few hairs gray haha!
Even though card was a bit of a heart attack and it wasn't nearly as clean as I envisioned in my head it's still pretty dang cool.
You can't go wrong with flowers and stripes folks.
It's impossible.
Thanks so much for visiting!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card - from the way you developed the flowers from the hearts to the way you "disguised" the stamping error on the lines to the way you shadowed the flowers. It's gorgeous.
