Hello Crafters!
Welcome to the Katy M. Murphy Foundation Kindness Card Drive!
What is this card drive all about?
Well let me fill you in . . .
but first you should have arrived from the incredible Jessica Frost-Ballas If you are just joining in I promise you don't want to miss any of the stops! There is an entire list at the end of the post.
Now, where were we?
The Katy M. Murphy Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded by Katy's mom Amiee. Katy had a congenital heart defect and lost her life at the tender age of 6. Amiee started the Foundation to honor her daughter's memory.
Today we are kicking off the card drive with a blog hop. We are hoping that all of you will help us by sending in cards to help complete Katy's Kindness Kits. The kits are for children and their families who are living with a congenital heart defect (CHD) and are inpatients on the cardiac care unit at Boston Children's Hospital. The foundation will be delivering kits to the hospital to help make the children and their families stay at the hospital easier, or kinder if you will.
All the details for the card drive can be found HERE, as well as a list of AMAZING sponsors who have offered up some phenomenal prizes to be raffled off to those who submit cards. Please read the rules carefully. The card drive will run from February 14th thru April 15th.
The drive is specifically looking for cards that are uplifting and thankfully my Simon Says Stamp order just arrived carrying two cutie patooie stamp sets perfect for it!
Knights, Princess, Dragons, oh my!
Seriously, are these not the cutest ever?
I knew I wanted a super simple layout that I could recreate really easily.
Enter Distress inks to save the day!
You can watch all 4 cards come to life in the video below.
Before we get back to the cards can I just tell you how awe inspiring Katy's Mom, Aimee, is? What a beautiful heart she has to put something together for those families who are still in trenches. People like her restore my faith in humanity.
Okay card time, I'm just showing quick pics her folks, this is a blog hop after all :)
Pretty, pretty, princess.
Cute Cuddly Dragon.
Clearly the hero of the post, our precious knight.
Last but not least our rainbow unicorn.
That's it for me! The next stop on the hop is the witty and darling Lydia Fielder. She's one of the funniest people I know. No, really. You might pee a little.
Here's the whole hop list in case you missed someone along the way!
Thanks so much for stopping in!

Kelly!!! These cards are amazing! I could watch you color all day. I had to stop the video to go buy the stamps. lol Thank you so much for being part of the blog hop and card drive. It means so very much.
ReplyDeleteAdorable set! LOVE!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful card drive and hop! Your cards are a perfect example of what kids would love to receive! Thanks for the great video and inspiration as always!
ReplyDeleteKelly as always your cards are adorable. What a great cause, my niece had cancer in her leg but they were able to put in a metal piece so we are so blessed to have here still. I made that sound simple but it took multiple surgeries and rejections and about a year in the hospital, so I would be honored to send in cards! I posted on their blog for the submission form because I couldn't find it. But anyway, I'm happy to get behind this. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteamazing! I love them all
ReplyDeleteIt's me again. LOL. Im following the order of the hop, correctly. I think my fav is the little dragon. Hey if you have any equestrian questions, I would be happy to answer them. : ))
