Sending Hugs: Comparison Video

 Hello Crafters!

Today was a travel day so I'm popping in at the 11th hour (story of my life) to share my post.
I'd tell you that this is a rarity and it'll never happen again but I believe in being open and honest and this will probably happen again next week.

I have been getting ready for Spring and when I saw this stamp set from Simon Says Stamp I knew it would be perfect for a sweet and simple comparison.

I decided I would color one with my Copic markers and the other with Zig Clean Color markers. I'm obviously more comfortable with the copics but I really love the softness that watercolor gives you.

I colored both cards with pretty much the same color palette so visually they would be as close as possible. This card with the Zigs the background came out so much softer and it was WAY easier to blend out into white. I find it a bit difficult to get good shading with these but I'm sure with practice you could change all that.

The copic version is a bit bolder, even though I really tried to stick to simple two color blends. It was so hard! haha! Clearly the background is where this one falls short because getting the blue to blend out completely to white was next to impossible.

You can watch me color both cards in the video below

I think if you're looking for something a bit softer watercolor is the way to go. A bit bolder? Copic is your medium for sure.

Thanks so much for visiting!!
