I finally broke into my stash of "Things to use."
You know the pile I'm talking about. The stamps and dies you bought six months ago that still haven't seen ink because life happens.
It hasn't been quite six months since I bought these stamps but it's definitely long enough!
I was blessed enough to meet Wendy, the owner and illustrator, of Sugar Pea Designs when I went to Simon Says CREATE back in April. She is kind, funny, and absolutely my kind of people! Not to mention her designs are completely adorable.
As soon as I got back from CREATE I started ordering up some Sugar Pea sets. It was so hard to choose! I k now you feel my pain. After all, you're my kind of people too.
I hit a few snags along the way but ultimately the card came out pretty cute. You can watch it start to finish in the video below.
Before you watched the video did you notice her chicken pox?! hahaha.
On a serious note I think the Eclipse masking paper would have been fine if I didn't keep stamping over it. It's awesome that the Post It mask repelled the ink but that fact that it sits on top of the tape is also problematic. They both have their pros but have their cons too.
I loved the way the Distress Oxide stamped. I think I had the issues I did because I was using such a large background. It really did cover pretty evenly and was quite opaque with one stamping which I loved.

If you EVER decide to do an online class or teach in person I will be the first in line to sign up! I can not tell you how much I appreciate all of the time you put into explaining why you are doing things a certain way, it makes so much sense to me. I love your color combinations and your style so much. Thank you again and again for sharing your amazing talent!

ReplyDeleteAwesome card. Your coloring is always amazing and I so appreciate your patience in explaining what you are doing over and over on every video you do. I'm sure it's exceptionally boring for you, but it's exceptionally helpful for us. And, boy am I glad I'm not the only one who has a pile of stuff that hasn't been used.
