I made a bunch of different cards with the products from this release and I'll be sharing them over the next couple of weeks with you.

Today's card is a quick and simple rainbow card using the new You're A Gem set

I loved every single gem in the set and wanted to use them all. 

I'm sure you'd be shocked to know I also suffer from full set syndrome. 

I like having all the options lol. 

I cut several masks to layer the stamps on top of each other in a diagonal pattern.  I stamped my sentiment first on waterproof black in so I wouldn't have to worry about it being bumpy and uneven if I tried stamping on top of the embossing. Once the sentiment was down, I stamped and masked my gems in Versamark then heat set them with clear embossing powder. 

I did a super quick wash of watercolor on top with the clear embossing powder acting as a resist. I was struggling to get really intense color so I did do a couple of washes. I also sprayed it generously with some perfect pearls water before I heat set it for a super pretty shine. 

Once it was dry I went back in with my copics. We all have our security blankets and I guess they are mine. 

I added a drop shadow with some gray markers. I also added some darker color to the gems themselves. If you're going to follow in my steps be careful around the embossing your copics with color it. 

Last I added a clear sequins before popping it up on white fun for for some added dimension.
