Bookworm: Colored Pencils on Kraft Cardstock

Hello Crafters! 

Happy Wednesday! 

You've almost made it. Hallelujah! 

If you've followed my blog for a while you already know that I have a love hate relationship with kraft cardstock. 

I used to say that Kraft was too cool for me to sit at it's table. 

Uhh, I think I just had some pretentious kraft. 

I've heard other people rave about Neenah Desert Storm card stock for just about ever. I was always like, "Kraft hates me, why would I spend money on that?" 

You know what I learned? 

I was buying bad paper. 

How's that for a revelation?

hahaha

I'm so glad I decided to give it a try because I really love the way it came out. Sometimes the line between cheap and quality needs to be breached. and often I forget that. 

Ask me how long I tried to watercolor with regular paper?

or don't because it's embarrassingly long .  . .

Colored pencils is a little outside my comfort zone but I'm a firm believer that if you're never uncomfortable you're not growing. 

You can really see that shiny glossy accents in this photo. Theses little bookworms really are adorable!
