Hello Crafters!
Welcome to the DIE-cember Blog Hop!
If you're just stopping by you can start at the beginning with the Simon Says Stamp Blog. If you've been hopping along you should be coming by way of my fantastic friend Heather Ruwe.
I know there's been a ton of inspiration out there already using a lot of the amazing dies from this release but as far as I'm concerned where's there's glitter paper it's never too much!
Oh yes, I said glitter paper.
BAM!!!
Everything little glittery thing. I am so smitten right now you guys!
Not to diminish the actual die release because that is also pretty stellar.
You can see the entire release below.

I know what you're thinking . . .
There's too many must haves to make a choice.
I agree.
Good Luck!
haha.
When I sat down to do my card I really wanted to know if I could use Distress Oxides or Copics to change the color or add shading.
Turns out, you can do both!!
You can watch the card come together in the video below
I do want to note, just like I said in the video, the glitter paper did become more "shimmery" and less glittery after the distress oxides. Though honestly it's still gorgeous.
The Copics didn't lose any glitter but they didn't blend as well.
Either way it's nice to have options!
Befoee you go Simon Says Stamp is generously giving away a $25 gift certificate for every stop on the hop!
Whoo Hoo!
Don't forget to leave love along the way for your chance to win!
Your next stop is the phenomenal Suzy Plantamura!
Here's the entire list in case you get lost along the way
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Interesting use of the glitter paper - love the bold sentiment stamped using two colors - clever idea
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card !
ReplyDeleteLove the glitter
ReplyDeleteKelly, the way you combined papers, dies, inks and stamping for this card is so well done! Thanks for the comments about inks on the glitter paper. Always helpful to learn from another's experience. tfs
ReplyDeleteSoooo Nice....gotta love glitter.
ReplyDeleteThank you
I think it looked good before you added the white Nuvo drops, but I do like it better afterwards as well. Don't sell yourself short! You took a lot of time with all that inlaying, and it created a really cool effect. One thing I would caution people about is to be careful using the copics on glitter paper; dab or tap on the color, but don't color as you would on regular cardstock because you could ruin the nibs.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. That glitter paper is beyond gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo, so beautiful, I love it! All the glitter... LOVE!
