Such cute designs.
I had a difficult time choosing which to showcase but ultimately the new Dazzling stamp set won out.
Because Rainbows.
It's been a minute since I used my Zig Clean Color markers but I knew they'd be perfect to watercolor these cute crystals. I love how the background gives a sparkly reflection kind of feel.
After the watercolor was dry you know I couldn't just leave it alone.
No way. Dimension is required :)
I got out my Copics and added just a bit of shading. But even just a little bit really helps them to POP out from that background.

Adding the little details like the white gel pen and stickles really help to add a little wow factor.

Kelly, as always, its just magical watching you color! After I see a video of you using your Zigs, I am always inspired to use my Zigs since your videos are so helpful! I love how you made the background - so ethereal and dreamy!!

ReplyDeleteLove how you've mixed your media. Use the zigs for watercolor then come back and give that pop of dimension. So lovely,and well, what would a Kelly card be without sparkly and shine, right :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a great card, I love the bright colors of the Clean Colors and the sparkling. I have them myself, I don't have the Copics but when I need to bring more depth I use and blend differend colors without using water, just blend with themselves.

ReplyDeleteSecond, random acts are kind of my thing because I can really crack under the pressure of expectations...anxiety anyone? I love to send snail mail! Handmade love comes in lots of forms when one is crafty! I love to shower my neighbors with handmade treat bags or goody bags. Or making paper goodies for the mamma’s in my family bible study group. Whenever I can, I try.

Love this card! I've been Copic coloring some gemstones but, I like the way your watercoloring looks better!
