Thankfully this week is done. Just one ten hour shift before I have a day off.

Today's card uses lots of products from Stephanie Low's Cool Vibes Designer Series.
I love so many of the elements in this series it was hard to choose which to use!
Everything started out good. Stamping and coloring, all good stuff. Nezt came the ink blended background with some perfect pearls splatters in the background. You know how I do.
I arranged my flowers and feathers and began adhering them to my background using both flat and dimensional adhesive. A few clear droplets completed the card . . . or so I thought.

Like I said in the video there definitely wasn't anything "wrong" with the first card. It just felt a bit disjointed to me.

Absolutely delightful colouring on these beautiful images, Kelly! I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who will tear apart a card if it doesn't feel right. (My husband just sits and shakes his head because he never sees anything wrong with the first attempt.) Sometimes you just have to go with your gut reaction. I think your finished card is fabulous!

ReplyDeleteYou where so right when you cut away the white border, with out it makes the card looks more one piece ( if you know what I mean, English is not my native language).
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the completed card on your blog I thought it was one stamp and the colouring makes me think of India. I love it and think its stunning!

Sure hope you're feeling better and thank you so much for making the video even though you weren't feeling up to it. I loved the first card but after you tore it apart and cut the white off. Wow what a difference. See that is why you're so awesome in teaching me to take that extra step and if it doesn't feel right ... fix it.. thanks.
