Hello Crafters!
I'm back with part two of the enormous card set I created with alcohol inks and gold foil.
If you missed that post you can catch it here.
I'm not covering anything I did with the backgrounds in this video so I definitely recommend you watch that one first :)
Today's post is all about coloring and construction.
In that order.
I'm actually going to start with the video first, photos of all the cards will follow in case you want a close up of a specific one :)
Alright....All nine cards here we go!
Same as above...but I think the white heat embossing on black is what nudges the other one out of the top spot. It's just filled with all the things that make my crafty heart happy!
Thank you so much for dropping in!
Hope you're having a wonderful week :)

Alright....All nine cards here we go!
For this one I used one half of a rainbow background. Since it was so heavy on the reds and oranges I decided to embrace that with two wild roses and an embossed sentiment.
This is the other half of that rainbow background I did the same thing just played up the purples instead. Those few sequins are helping to hold my vellum down and hiding my adhesive :)
This background actually came from my practice piece where I was trying to relearn what colors I had been hoarding for years :)
When I began this background I was trying to make a flower...that clearly didn't work out but I was able to salvage it into a more jewel toned rainbow.
I think this one is my favorite....well maybe it's number two to the rainbow one at that end. The gold looks amazing on the blues and teals!!
This one came to be because I just couldn't bare to throw away the scraps. It's different but I still think it's super pretty!
This one was a blue, purple, and pink background. I love how bold those colors are!!
Rainbows. Black and white. Flowers, Clean and simple. yeah, I'm in love.
Thank you so much for dropping in!
Hope you're having a wonderful week :)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards!! I keep fighting the urge to try alcohol inks. This has made it hard to resist! Just have to say, your story about your son reminded me of my daughter dealing with twin 3 1/2 year old boys with the stomach bug. Twice as bad!!!! Of course, then she got it! Stomach bugs are the worst!

ReplyDeleteNot often do I encounter a weblog that is both educated and entertaining, and let me tell you, you may have hit the nail on the head. I am very happy that I stumbled across this in my quest for something relating to this. blue abstract background hd
