Free Hand Watercolor Flowers with Wplus9

Whew. It's been a Day.

Speaking of relaxing, today's card is a bit different. 

I shared this one over on the Wplus9 Blog last week. 

A few weeks back I made this card and several of you asked about the really loose watercoloring in the background. So today that's what we are doing!

For the first card I used a large stamp to get an idea for where I wanted to paint my flowers. Sometimes starting on perfectly white paper can be a road block or maybe you have trouble with flower arrangements like I do. Using a stamp can help relieve both of those problems. 

For the second card I painted in a general wreath shape with no help from stamps. Even though the flowers aren't perfect you don't really notice because the focal point is that beautiful bold sentiment.

You can see as long as you're willing to try and play around even with no real freehand watercolor practice you can still come up with something that is pretty.
