Hello Crafters!
Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Fluttering By Blog Hop!
You should be arriving from my amazing friend, Jessica Frost Ballas and I'm sure you're going to need a minute to put your socks back on because I know she blew them off!
If you are just stopping by you can begin the hop with the Simon Says Stamp Blog so you don't miss a thing.
So it's still very cold here in Ohio so I you know I need all things Spring in my life. Even though Mother Nature hasn't gotten the message yet it's Spring Simon certainly has :)

Flowers and butterflies oh my!
I really love the Mom sets they came out with too. You guys know I love my momma!
However for today I had to go with rainbow butterflies.
I needed this color in my life. And that sentiment...forget about it. The whole set makes my heart happy
I stamped my sentiment first for placement purposes the heat embossed three solid white butterflies. These helped break up my background and fill in any gaps where my die cut butterflies didn't. Once I had those heat set I added a rainbow of Distress Oxides in a diagonal across my card.
I then took a piece of white card stock and ink blended the same colors. I bit of water splatters along with perfect pearls help add interest to the background and the butterflies. Once they were dry I ran those cutie patootie butterflies through my Big Shot.
I adhered the butterflies so their wings would be raised. Not only is this fun it helps distinguish them from the background. A few clear droplets helped fill in any leftover gaps I had.
/you can watch the whole card come together in the video below.
There's also a bit of encouragement included. :)
Anytime you forget that you are capable of being brave, come on back here and listen to the video.
Because I mean it. Every word.
Your next stop on the hop is the incredible Suzy Plantamura who is going to have some amazing paintables for you!
Simon Says Stamp is generously giving away a $25 gift card to one one lucky winner from each stop on the hop so make sure you leave some love on the way!
Here's the whole list in case you get lost on the way
Thank you so much for dropping in!

ReplyDeleteYour pep talk was as good as your card, and that is saying something because your card is gorgeous! Loved them both! I really needed to hear this 2 days ago, but I got through it anyway... but only cause I had my big girl panties on! LOL Sometimes you have to be brave to just get through the stuff life throws at you, you know? But I always try to remember that there are people fighting bigger battles than me and being braver doing it, and it gets me to straighten my posture and keep my chin up. I'd rather be brave for what I'm dealing with than what others have to face and endure. Sometimes fear can be put in perspective.
ReplyDeleteThis is my new favorite card!!! LOVE IT 😍
ReplyDeleteBe Brave, so much easier said than done. Great card, I will try the technique. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

ReplyDeleteI'm going to be brave tonight and try a technique that I've never done. Thanks for the inspiration. I'm a little bit of a perfectionist and it gets in the way of being truly creative.
