Multi Layered Die Cut scene and Copic Color Selection

 Hello Crafters! 

Whew. 

The last two weeks have been wild. 

And now that I've said that please let us pause to enjoy the movie clip that plays in my head every time I say the word wild. 

I sincerely hope you watched that because I don't want to be the only one with Overload stuck in my head. Yes, I am now listening to the entire song. You can too here.

While that is a fun little tangent, let's bring it back home now shall we?

I could try to be cute and say something about how the rain ties into my storm cloud scene but honestly it all started with the world wild. 

My brain is a strange and wonderful thing :) 

If you've been here before you know that die cuts and I are really just acquaintances that run in the same circle.  However, every once in a while we get together and it just flows. I really loved the idea of building a scene with the awesome dies created exactly for that so I decided to give it a try. 

I was surprisingly happy with the result :)  

I did lots of ink blending with my distress oxides before putting those die cuts to work. I cut all my clouds out of one ombre sheet but if you wanted them to cover your whole panel you should create more than one ink blended piece. 

Since I wanted my scene to be fluid after I used my copic markers to color up my stamped images I fussy cut them out. I used a MISTI to stamp my image on each die cut layer so all my lines would line up perfectly.

Even though it took multiple impressions I think the effort is worth it to get the look that I wanted. 

I adore the bright pops of color against the softer background. It's right up my alley, die cuts and all.
