Rainbow Confetti Background with Distress Oxides and Spellbinders

 Hello Crafters! 

A few weeks ago I shared this super fun rainbow party card over on the Spellbinders Blog and I wanted to make sure I shared it here. 

I really wanted to create a super fun party atmosphere and this Party stamp set and die was absolutely perfect. I did a bit of distress oxide blending in the background before I set to work creating my confetti. 

I spattered on every color of the rainbow with a #2 round brush so the splatters would be super fine. Using Distress Oxides for this is great because they have pigment properties and the colors sit on top of each other. 

I stamped the stamp multiple times in order to fussy cut out the banner and die cut the hat. Both we're popped up on foam tape to create a three dimension. For the coloring I did minimal shading on the hat using just my grays and one each of the rainbow colors.
