I decided to use the Bouquet of Hope stamp set and create a fun easy watercolor piece. I know this won't be everyone's style but it's okay. Because I love it :)
I started by doing a wet on wet watercolor using my distress oxides. I knew I was risking it using Carved Pumpkin in the mix and some of it did get a bit muddy but I actually didn't mind at all.
Once the watercolor was dry I added shading to the stamped image with my copic markers. Combining these two mediums is one of my favorite things to do :) I added a bit of sparkle onto the flowers too.
I picked a sentiment from the Hello Sweet Friend set and heat embossed it using white embossing powder. I cut them into labels and popped them. Super simple.
By request I decided to put together a video for this one. You can watch the card come together in the video below.

ReplyDeleteBold to use the loose watercoloring on a more detailed (and human!) image like this. I think the "mud" bits that you got actually helped make the firl's skin tones look a little more realistic amidst the oranges and pinks. Someday I will have the courage to try this, and it's going to be amazing (if I keep telling myself that, it might just happen!). Thanks for sharing this lovely card and for helping introduce us to Trinity Stamps!
