Simple Multi-Color Flowers with Distress Oxides

 Hello Crafters! 

I hope you're having an amazing weekend! 

I've been working but it's actually not the worst time ever. Unless you count how I curled my hair and then the humidity made sure that was a complete waste of time haha.

I previously shared this card over on the WPlus9 blog but it's so fun I needed to share it here. 

I think we are all looking for the easiest way to achieve the results we love. I adore a realistic approach to floral images but I often have a hard time getting those results because it requires blending multiple colors. 

I found I could get a fairly no line coloring look by stamping in a similar color on watercolor paper and then smooshing my paper into some distress oxides sprayed with water. Because they mix naturally and dry really soft it creates the perfect base of color for a multi-color look. 

The results were beautiful on their own though I couldn't stop myself from adding more details with my colored pencils.

I wasn't sure I loved the sentiment but I also didn't completely hate it. Decided to leave it. Sometimes when you love the rest of it's okay to just accept it I think.
