Be Strong, Be Beautiful, Be Fearless with Simon Says Stamp

 

Hello Crafters! 

 Life has been crazy but in a good way.
I've been super busy settling in to the new house and getting in training at my new job teaching.

Consequently, I haven't had a minute to play with the new Friendly Frolic Release from Simon Says Stamp! And there's so much good stuff in it when I finally had the chance it was so hard to choose!

Among all the other things I check my social media in my few minutes of downtime here and there.
Today I saw a post in a stamp group I'm a part of and someone said  "Do you ever look at your friend's card and think why bother?"
This made my choice for me.

In the new Sketch Lotus Flowers stamp set there are tons of really awesome encouragement sentiments. I decided with where I'm at in my life I could use the reminder and apparently some of you can too. 

I stamped down the new Folk Dance background stamp on Watercolor paper. I did a tone on tone by adding the same shades of blue over top of it. I wanted the patterned but I wanted it to be subtle.  After it was dry I spattered on some perfect Pearls for some shine. 

I set the background aside to dry and stamped out my flowers. When I googled lotus flowers I was immediately smitten with the light pink and dark pink versions. So I pulled out the RV's and got to work. After the coloring I used the coordinating die so I could pop it up. 

The sentiment was stamped in a bold black because honestly it's my favorite part of the card. 

Be Strong.

Be Beautiful. 

Be Fearless.
