This month it's all about sweet summertime and carnivals!
I absolutely adore this kit and the adds on, which is honestly what I used for my card today.

I used the You're Sweet as Pie set and the County Fair Bold Print background stamp for my card today. I knew I wanted a gradient background so I started there.
I used Butter Bar, Orange Soda, and Bubblegum to stamp my background multiple times. My MISTI makes this technique super easy. Just ink up, use a damp baby wipe to blt of some ink on the edge and stamp down. Repeat with the next color and BAM multicolor background!
For the sweet treats I stamped and masked them onto a smaller panel. That cotton candy and Lollipop make me smile. I don't personally love snow cones but my son does so I had to include it :) I colored them up with my copics and then outlined them with a light blue for contrast.
The last thing I did was add some clear sequins and a few glittery details to my items.
I did film video for this one but there weren't enough hours in the day folks. Hoping to get it up tonight after work.
Finally got it together folks. It's a mad mix of story time and cardmaking.

ReplyDeleteI cannot believe that you don't like snow cones--one of my favorite treats in the summer as a kid. (Cue dramatic music) Until the trauma of moving to Pennsylvania. They have a version there called Italian water ice which the natives assured me was the best ever and no-one wanted to accept my 10-year-old opinion that snow cones were better. We finally left that area of the country and were able to locate snow cones again when I was a senior in HS. I don't even know when I have last had one, but I still maintain that they are superior! Cotton candy is always good, but only fresh. Who knew such things matter so much!!!! See what a card can do! Thanks so much.
