Watercolor Feathers with Simon Says Stamp

Hello Crafters! 

Today's card is a bit wild and crazy with color but honestly I'm good with it. 

In preparing for a girls trip this weekend I feel a bit wild and crazy myself haha

I fell in love with this set immediately. The artist who drew them for Simon Says Stamp is Stephanie Low and I'm a big fan. I've worked with her illustrations before and cannot say enough about how talented she is. You can check out her Facebook page here. 

I really wanted to do a fun colorful background to showcase her beautiful floral feathers. I picked four distress oxide colors and got to work! 

After my watercolor background was dry I stamped and masked my images to create the diagonal floral design. After I had everything stamped out I set to work with my copic markers.

Even though I didn't love the way the colors came out on top of the distress ink overall I'm really happy with the card. Besides, the beauty of owning stamps is the opportunity to try again. Honestly, with these gorgeous stamps who wouldn't want to try again?!
