Yesterday was a hard mom day.
Sometimes it just happens and you gotta roll with it.
I'm optimistic the weekend will be better for the both of us!
I shared this video on the Spellbinders blog last week and wanted to pop in and share it here.
I definitely leapt outside of my comfort zone with this one haha!
If you stopped by the blog recently you probably saw this video where I go on and on about how much I adore Stephanie Low. The gorgeous stamps I used on today's card are part of her Inked Messages Collection with Spellbinders.
I used three different sets from the collection but since they are all drawn in the same style you can't even tell they aren't from on set. I love when products make friends don't you?
I started by stamping my background using Antique Linen Distress Oxide. Man, these oxides are so awesome for stamping solid images. Seriously, swoon.
Next I stamped out all my images and before I started in with the Copic markers I went looking for a color combination I would love. I have a Pinterest board that I start with because I already know I love those combos. You can check it out here.
I didn't find anything I loved right away but I knew I was using a vanilla color for the base. I started typing in the Pinterest search board "color combinations tan and" and then I hit enter. Pinterest automatically fills in the blank pulling up color combos with tan in it.
Super simple :)
You can check out the whole card from start to finish in the video below. I'm not sure what my issue was but turn up the volume on this one, it's really quiet.
Even though it's so far removed from what I normally make it's almost unbelievable I actually really love it. That mauve color is making me so happy guys :)

Gorgeous pallet of Victorian esk colours. Great layout, glad you chose to step outside your range as you got a fabulous result. Happy to hear you're in favour of bees, they do kind of need to be around for our life span s plus. Keep hanging on in there I'm loving proof it works out in the end.
