Watercolor Stamping with Distress Oxides

I mean, I'm happy for you. 

I actually have Thursdays and Fridays off so I go back to work tomorrow. ha. 

I was over on the Honey Bee Blog yesterday with this fun Autumn inspired card and thought I'd share here too. 

I have been itching to use these Cosmos for real. 

I'm also really into the framed look right now. Though to be fair I've pretty much always been into it. Just something about it. I stamped and masked the flowers into some watercolor paper and then jumped into the background. 

I used the wet on wet technique. I painted on clear water then dropped in various distress oxide colors in Autumn tones. This part you won't actually see in the video because Camera Gremlins. Or I forgot to unpause the camera. Jury is still out. I vote camera gremlins :/ 

After the distress background was dry I inked up my cosmo stamp very lightly with distress oxide and then spritzed it a few times before stamping onto the background. I usually spray 2-3 times from 4-5 inches away. Less water = more clear stamping. More water = more watercolor stamping.

After that you know the drill. Spatter on the perfect pearls, this time in gold. and then copic colored those gorgeous flowers.
