This kit is gorgeous and just screamed "SCENE" right in my face. One note while I didn't use them those glitter papers are stunning! They are thick like card stock and smooth even though they are glittery. LOVE!

I kept seeing this ice skating scene in my head. It just had to be made. I didn't want to leave a single skater out so I adjusted the size of my pond.
I started by stamping and masking images to lay out my scene. I always stamp a practice piece with no masking so I'm sure all my elements will fit where I want them .
I left my masks in place to do some distress inking in the background. This is such a quick and easy way to add lots of color fast!
I removed the masks and started coloring. Normally, I color with 4 markers for each color I've selected but this time I concentrated my coloring on the background letting my tree and pond be the focal point. I did simple two color blending on the characters, bench and light.

ReplyDeleteI love the detailed card. It just brings it more to life. The other is just plain. Oh my gosh your story on your maintenance fiasco.. What a bunch of crap to have you treated this way. There has to be some sort of responsibility on the owner and who he hires. He's getting ripped off and your time is precious. Your health and your sons is of great concerns. I hope it's all taken care of and you complain and get the garage cleaned out from prior tenants. Hugs.

When I watched your video, I was at work during a record snowstorm. No one could get to the store. The phone did ring during a crucial moment in your story, and for a fleeting moment I hesitated answering it, as it was critical that I know if the carpet guy was lying LOL. Incidentally, your card is gorgeous as usual and I love this Hero Arts kit.
