Alright let's talk about this card!
I kept it pretty simple today and let the colors be the star of the show. I love one layer cards but sometimes Momma just ain't got time to cut all those masks. Keeping the layout and color palate simple let's the bold coloring stand out. I stamped my images into the background then ink blended just two colors of distress oxide over top of the images. I didn't bother masking since I used distress oxides that will match my alcohol markers.
After I finished the ink blending I spattered on a bit of gold Perfect Pearls for some shine. Next, I stamped another flower and two leaves onto another piece of white cardstock. I colored those up with my artist markers and then fussy cut them out. I used a waterbased black marker to go around the edges and provide a cleaner look. I added these to my card using foam adhesive. I used even more foam adhesive to add the panel to my card base.
The sentiment was stamped in black and then outlined in white gel pen to separate it from the stems in the background. Even though the card is simple I think it provides a good base to make it your own. Which really is the goal isn't it?
You can check out the entire card from start to finish in the video below
Your next stop on the hop is the fantastic Enza Gudor.
In case you get lost along the way here's the entire hop list
Thanks so much for stopping by!
