Seasons Givings and My Heartfelt Thanks

Hello Crafters!

Welcome to the Seasons Givings Blog Hop!
This amazing Hop is put together every year by Latisha Yoast and is our way of saying thank you for your support. You should have arrived from my amazingly talented friend Jessica Frost-Ballas.

I do have a card to share today but I have some things slightly more important.
First and foremost Thank you.
Yes, You.
I cannot put into words what it means to me that you all come back to support me time and time again.
You're amazing and I am beyond blessed to have every single one of you in my life.

Next: Giveaway!
Now a gift isn't required to say thank you but man it sure adds to the fun.
I love that I'll be able to make someone's day.
Or two someone's.

Here's the deal I'm giving away two $25 gift cards and you can pick where you want it from the stores listed below. These are hard working people I love and want to support too.

To enter tell me one word that describes what you hope for in 2019. The giveaway will be open until January 4, 2019 11:59pm. I'll announce the winner over the weekend.

Whew!
Ready for this card?

I used two Hero Arts sets to create a little coffee scene because why shouldn't I start the new year with something I love? Mugs make me happy and that tea cup with the roses is simply amazing.

I stamped and masked to create my scene before I started the copic coloring. Which this entire card, including the background, was done with.
Aren't you proud of me. I didn't fall back on distress inks like usual haha

In order to get the one sugar cube I did some creative masking. I felt like an odd number of cubes was a better plan though honestly I'm gonna need more than three to make it through my coffee.

You know I have a video I didn't edit right?
Good glad we're on the same page.

Finally got the video edited.
It's looonnnggg. Be prepared.
But the whole card is there from start to finish.

Your next stop on the hop is my sweet talented friend Emily Midgett. I know you'll love whatever she made because she's amazing. In fact I'm gonna go with you so I can see too!

Here's a list of the entire hop in case you get lost along the way!
There's so many talented people saying thank you!

  125. My word would be lazy-less. Procrastination is a real problem. Thank you for your creativity. It does help those of us who aren't artistic.

  126. I didn't have a word for a year, so you made me think about it. I think I will go with happiness. I love to make cards and give them to people around me, I like to see them happy when they get my card. My goal is to send or give out more birthday cards this year.

  129. Thank you for your time spent teaching and sharing with all of us. You really put our minds to thinking on the one word for 2019. I would have to say PEACE. The whole world needs a lot of it. God bless.

  130. Lovely card!! My word for 2019 is “trust”. As in “trust in Him”.

  131. The card is beautiful. Your son's card is really good for a 5 year old. Keep up the good work. My word for 2019 is Peace.

  132. My one word is Health, but it needs the extra word, improved. My health in the last half of 2018 was very poor, was on life support twice in hospital. I did improve somewhat (and am grateful) but was forced to move out of my home and seek help. And so far it's worked well, but I'm hoping things improve in the coming year.
thanks for showing off this beautiful card.

  144. Kelly, I love you to pieces!! Totally wish we lived closer because I'm 99.9% sure we would be inseperable....kids are the same age, interests and fears are the same, family values are the same, I could literally go on and on. I swear we were sisters or besties in a former life!! I will never be able to Express my gratitude for you and all that I have learned from you not only as a crafter, but as a mom and a person. You truly have no clue how much you have positively impacted me. So thank you so much for that. My goal for 2019 is COURAGE. I want to stop allowing my fear to stand in my way of so many things. I am worried so much about what others will think and allow that to hold me back. I had a really big eye opener this holiday season. My mother was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. I was completely devastated because my mom is my best friend and I cannot imagine life without her. I have battled with severe depression and anxiety over the past several years and I know how hard that has been for her to watch because I have always been this vibrant, outgoing, and bubbly person who loved the center of attention. So I want her to see me like that again and for her to know if something does happen to her, that I will be just fine. So here is to 2019 being a great year!!! I hope it is for everyone. Big Hugs!!!

  145. Hi Kelly - Happy New Year to you! My word for 2019 is "grateful". I need to learn to be more grateful when I have days that allow me to be more productive (I have a debilitating nerve disease). Your peanut is so sweet; glad you left in his colored card. He wants to be just like mommy. May God continue to watch over you and bring you peace, love and good health. Be well, Kelly.

  146. Hi Kelly, my word is confidence. That's something I need to work on and watching you move through your "new normal" is e good example.

  147. Love the card and the video is great. You always make me laugh. Which is a good thing so thank you for that. Health is my word for 2019. I have a chronic illness, fibromyalgia, that makes life harder. The last couple of years I have had no energy or strength to be able to do more than just exist. It got really bad before it was able to get better. Due to that I had lost touch with almost all things crafting. Now that I am back in the land of the living I am finding out what happened while I was away. I am really enjoying what has happened to stamping and the community. You are a bright light in this creative world and I am so glad that I found my way to you. Thank you for sharing your story, art, talent and yourself.🐧

  157. Love the card! I have thought about my word for the year for a couple of days now, and have still not made a final decision, (maybe it should be stop! as in stop procrastinating or stop over thinking...LOL!) I think it will be BETTER. I teach, and I want to do better for my students. I am a wife who is blessed to be spoiled by my husband. I want to do better at spoiling him in return. He is retired, and I retire in 2 years. We plan to travel. I want to do better at saving, and better at saying no to impulse buys. I want to take better care of my health, physically, mentally, and spiritually. So, yes, I think it would have to be BETTER.

  158. Love your work. Love your stories! My hope for the New Year is that I learn to thrive in my “new normal”.

  159. My word would be CARING. More caring in this world would be so wonderful. My 1st job was at Grossmans whish was like a small time Lowes home improvement store. Had a great time there with my friend and we found it funny that our managers name was Charlie Brown! LOL. Went on to work in the animal field which was my passion for almost 20 years till I was injured on the job in 2006 and became disabled. Now I work part time at Michaels craft store (which I love and it supports my craft habit lol) but is very hard due to all my health issues. But, thankfully I have great managers that are good to me and CARE about me (unlike where I was injured) and it keeps me going even though I deal with pain every day. I am a single mom too and its tough. So having people who care can mean the world. Love your videos and thanks for sharing all your wonderful stories! Happy New Year!

  163. Your cards always inspire me with their beauty and color! I think the word I’d like to continue using as my “mantra” is gratefulness. It’s not new to me, but one I occasionally need to remind myself of. I am really so very lucky to have peace, joy and contentment in my life; I just need to remember to be grateful for these things when I don’t have a great day or if something goes wrong. “There is always, always, always something to be grateful for.”

  164. Your card is just gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your amazing talents with everyone. I am learning so much from watching you and I do love listening to your stories! Not only do you have amazing creative abilities and artistic talent but, you can tell a story like nobody's business! You could talk about socks for an hour and still captivate your audience! Lol. That is seriously a talent! My word for 2019 would have to be happiness...I need to remember that I deserve happiness just as much as anyone else does.
