Hello Crafters!
See didn't I tell you I'd be back soon :)
Welcome to the Hero Arts 2019 Catalog Blog Hop! If you're just stopping in for a visit you can start the hop at the Hero Arts Blog so you don't miss a thing! If you've been hopping along you should have arrived from my extremely talented friend, Kathy Racoosin's Blog
In case you were wondering why you should be starting at the beginning. Well there's a ton of talent in this hop but also prizes! Hero Arts is giving away four $50 shopping sprees to the Hero Arts online store, randomly drawn from comments left across all blogs in the hop. Please comment by Sunday, February 17th at 11:59 PM PT and they will announce the winners the following week.
I was feeling all kinds of Spring time. As I sit here in a sweatshirt, sweatpants, with a space heater running haha. Seriously, warm weather, anytime you're ready! I made two cards that are the same but different.
This one is a little bit more cute or whimsical because that's how the butterflies are drawn. Which I love. I stamped them in black and then copic colored them up in pinks and oranges. I can never skip the details so I added a few with my white gel pen.
This one features the color layering butterfly and has a much more realistic look. I stamped the base layer in Bubble Gum and the middle layer in Orange Soda. I love pinks and oranges with blues and greens. The bold black really makes it stand out!
The backgrounds were done the same. I ink blended some Distress Oxides and then flicked on clean water. For the shimmer I used the tubing to sprinkle on some iridescent spray.
You can see both cards in the video below
Which way do you prefer? Whimsical or realistic? The entire catalog has such an awesome array of products. You can shop the whole thing here.
Your next stop on the hop is the amazing Laurie Willison.
In case you get lost on the hop here's the entire link list.
Thanks so much for dropping by!
