Happy National Tea Day!



Hello Crafters! 

Happy National Tea Day! 
Didn't know that was a thing? Me either. 
However I'll take any excuse to use a mug set :)

I really wanted to do a full scene card but unfortunately there wasn't time. Never enough time in the day ya'll. I settled for a counter top. 
I stamped and masked my images using my MISTI and just used a ruler to create my countertop. I opted for an angle to make it a bit more interesting. 


I wanted the counter to look like a cozy little place for two so I used the largest mug and turned it into a vase. I added the peony which I love but then I tried to make the cups and plates fancy. I should have stopped at the vase haha!  

Even though this ones not my favorite it's okay. Every card can't be :) I do hope it sparks an idea that you can carry on to another card. 


And that was originally the end of my blog post....But. 
I had to change it ya'll. This card had potential lol. 
I finished out my scene the night after. I'm so happy I did.

I know scenes aren't for everyone but they are definitely for me. I couldn't be happier with the way it came out even if I took the scenic route to get there :)

    Oké, you win, Kelly, I commented earlier on the first post and thought the card was showing what you intended, tea for two. But after seeing the altered card it more a cozy tea for two and a more Kelly card! Thank you for the video where you show where you made the card and how you altered it again.
