Watercolor Stencil Impressions with Scrapbook.com

 Hello Crafters! 

Man I'm on a roll with the videos lately.

Seriously though I'm extremely excited for this one because it's my first video for Scrapbook.com. 

Yay for new craft opportunities! 

I really wanted the sentiment to be the star of the show but I couldn't leave out all that color. I went with my go to rainbow, black, and white. Turns out I still love it! Shocking. 

I used distress oxide inks as my water color medium but this will work with any kind of watercolor. I laid down clean water across my water color paper wherever I wanted the pigment to go. You don't need a ton of water, like it shouldn't be a pool, but you do need enough that it squishes when you put the stencil on. I added my distress oxide in rainbow color from the top left to the bottom right. Once I was happy with the colors I laid my stencil on top then weighed it down with an acrylic block and added a large book on top. Set it aside to dry and work on the rest of your pieces. 

I really wanted to add some hearts to the card and originally I thought I would do more rainbows but I didn't love it. Instead I opted for solid black hearts to match my sentiment. The sentiment was white heat embossed on black paper and absolutely cracks me up. I think these kind of snarky sentiments are a ton of fun.

I know it was a short one but that just shows you how quick and easy this technique is! I love how the hearts pop off the background. 

The stencil impression looks super cool and it took minimal effort from me which honestly I'm all about haha.
