It's Memorial Day Weekend here in the good ole' US of A which means we take the time to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice serving our country. It's so important to acknowledge the giving of their lives so during you cook outs and parties this weekend please take a minute to remember it's real reason.

Rainbows is where it's at for me. I put off using the Rainbow Wishes set long enough. It was definitely time to get some ink on them. There's Rainbow Wishes stamps, dies, and stencils It's like the make Kelly Happy Trifecta.
I started by trapping my sun rays under some embossing powder so I could ink blue clouds on top of it. I did a simple ombre with mustard seed distress oxide ink but you can trap anything under embossing. Stamping, patterned paper, whatever makes your little heart go pitter patter guys.
I masked off the bottom half of my Radiant stencil and added my mustard seed ink with a blending tool. I then cleaned off my stencil, lined it back up and smooshed Versamark all over it. Once the stencil is removed I used some Shimmering Pearl embossing powder over top and heat set it.
Now I can go in and ink my blue clouds anywhere I want to and the yellow rays will stay yellow!

Even though this card has minimal stamping and lots of foam, which is not normally my jam, I love it. The soft blue clouds fill up the background nicely but don't make it feel super busy :)
