Welcome to day Two of the Tonic Garden Party Release!
The images in this release are so versatile. I adore them.
You should have arrived from my fantastically talented friend Caly Person but if you're just stopping by you can start with the Tonic Studios Blog so you don't miss a stop on the hop.
I decided to share some cards I made using the Celebrate Life set. It has so many images in it I couldn't stop making cards!
Since I wanted the images from the set to be the focal point I kept the backgrounds super simple.
I used Salty Ocean distress ink to add a bit of color to each background. I spattered on some clean water and then some perfect pearls to add a little bit of interest just not enough to distract.
I stamped out all of my images and sat in front of the tv to color. I used to do this all the time before I started making videos. It gives me a chance to be where everyone else is while still allowing me to enjoy something that I love.
Once the coloring was done I fussy cut my images out and adhered them with foam tape. Another trick to adding something interest to an otherwise simple card. I love that this set has images that can make a card without using the characters. This birthday card can be used for anyone and sometimes that's exactly what I need!
Here's a close up where you can really see that shimmer in the background.
