Floral Spray No Line Watercoloring

I have been putting up videos recently but I'm behind on blogging them. 

So you might see one or two post relatively close together. 

I'm not trying to blow up your inbox, honest. 

This card was shared over on Honey Bee Stamps Blog earlier this week. This set is a little extra special because it was illustrated by my amazing friend Emily Midgett. I have a specific way I prefer to do my no line coloring but please do whatever works for you. I like using minimal water as it gives me more control. It also dries super fast so working the entire piece is much faster in general. In order to ensure I have minimal water I blot the base of my brush with a paper towel. This removes the excess moisture from the base but still leaves enough water gathered at the end to work with.

One of my very favorite things about watercoloring is all the color variation! Make sure you let the water do the work if that's what you're looking for. If you're constantly playing with it you'll mix the colors on your own and end up with something very one note. 

Here you can see that beautiful metallic sentiment. Metallic embossing is so hard to photograph! In real life it's worth it though because it looks amazing!
