I actually posted the video earlier today before I went out and celebrated Thanksgiving but I didn't have time to type the blog post so...here we are.
This card didn't turn out anything like I originally planned but I like the end result quite a bit.
I stamped all my flowers with the intention of having some above and some below my sentiment.
Once I stamped them all out I moved on to my background piece. Since I had planned on doing flowers above and below I did my inking in a different pattern than usual. I opted to leave a highlight in the center with darker outside edges. I spattered on some iridescent spray and some clean water and set it aside.
I colored all my flowers using my copic markers. This card definitely has more of a Spring than Fall vibe but that's okay with me. Spring is my favorite season lol.
After all the coloring was done I die cut out my flowers.
Putting the card together is when I realized my layout wouldn't work. The flowers were too tall. I tried a few different options before turning my card horizontally and then it all came together. Don't be afraid to move your pieces and even your card base around if you're struggling. You might find something that works even better!

ReplyDeleteWhe don't celebrate Thanksgiving in the Netherlands but I love pie, applepie with clotted cream or a pie with salted caramel or chocolade. I love a lot!

Hi Kelly, I've really enjoyed your videos and stories. I love cherry pie but my favorite is mince. It is about the only time of year I can get it. Thanksgiving is just getting together with family and friends.
