It's such a tumultuous times right now and I've been trying to find ways to encourage. Myself and others because Lord Jesus the anxiety is high now.
Hopefully this may help you too.
I wanted something that was going to show the storm but also the sun and the rainbow that comes after it. Because the rainbow is coming guys. We just have to wait out the storm.
I started out by die cutting my black cardstock with my double stitched polygon dies. In order to create the "storm" I used the clouds from the outdoor scene builder stencil set and some white pigment ink. I put it on a blender foam and blended it out just like any other ink. However, careful how much you load up the foam. Pigment ink is more concentrated than dye and it stays wet longer so a little goes a long way.
To add my rain drops I spattered on some perfect pearls and then set it aside to dry.
I stamped my rainbow and butterflies and then colored them with my copic markers. Yes, butterflies. They're were two but by the time I played around with the layout I ended up using just one.
I also stamped and colored the sun too!
I fussy cut the butterfly and the rainbow then used the dies for the sun and those glittery clouds.
I mean honestly, glittery clouds deserve all the heart eyes.

Your idea of spreading the money one spends on stamps, dies, etc around to many stamp companies is a very good one. They do sales, give out coupons, etc to loyal customers, so we should be loyal to them as well. Very inspirational card!

I want to support all the small business, but I can’t as much because I’m retired and on a fixed income, but I have honestly love making cards.... right now I’m feeling a little blah... not very inspired but I think I will go make some backgrounds to get back into crafting, thank you for the inspiration
