I made a scene card. Of course. No one is shocked by this. haha. I just really loved the different sized images and new it would be great for a perspective card.
I started by stamping the smaller collection of poppies towards the bottom of my card. I extended the stems with a black pen as I wanted them to be a little taller. Once that was complete I ink blended on some blue and green distress ink to set the scene.
Who isn't ready for some blue skies and sunshine, am I right?!
I colored the smaller poppies with just my alcohol markers and then set the panel aside. I then used the largest image in the set and stamped it twice o a seperate piece of white cardstock.
I colored all of them with a light red/pink as the base of my flowers and a light green for my stems. For a few of the colors I also shaded them completely with my alcohol markers.
Once the marker portion was complete I went back in with my colored pencils and added even more dimension! Combining the two mediums allows a much more realistic look. I used the coordinating die cuts to cut them out and then clustered them on the right side of my cardstock to give them the appearance of being in the forground while the smaller flowers fall to the background.
Your next stop on the hop is the wonderful mind behind this set Maria Willis. I know she'll have something amazing in store for you!
