Hero Arts Countdown to My Monthly Hero

 Hello Crafters! 

I'm so excited to be heading into the next Hero Arts My Monthly Hero release! 

The countdown is always so exciting to see what every one creates. 

I knew I wanted to stick with a fall color palette with a clean design. Ya'll know how I like bold colors! 

I decided to use ink blending as my medium of color and went to work selecting some reactive inks to blend with. I chose to ink blend first and then stamp but you could for sure stamp first and then ink blend. Either way will work! 

Once I had my ink blending complete I went in with a few matching copic markers and added bits of shading here and there to break up the image. This also gives a bit more definition to the flowers. Last but not least I added touches of white gel pen for some highlights. This furthers the look of dimension without a lot of work. When that was done I die cut the images out. 

I adhered the die cut images flat across the bottom of my card front. I wanted a pop of color for the sentiment so I pulled out my Hero Hues Plum Cardstock. Talk about a perfect color for fall. It's stunning. I stamped my image in clear embossing ink and sprinkled on some detailed white embossing powder. I heat set it until it was melted and shiny. I trimmed it into a label and then popped it up on foam to complete the card.
