Hero Arts Countdown to My Monthly Hero: October 2022

 Hello Crafters! 

Are you enjoying the countdown to our October 2022 My Monthly Hero Kit? 

There's so many fun examples from the design team. I just love seeing the different ways they use the kit. 

I opted to keep my card pretty simple today and let that gorgeous tree be the star of the show. 

I cut some masking paper to create a snowy hill and ink blended on several blue inks getting darker towards the outside edges. 

Once that was done I used our Iridescent spray and some watered down white acrylic paint to splatter on some stars. 

I removed the mask and then stamped down my tree in a light green ink. I used the same snowy hill mask to ink blend on some light purple ink to create a shadow under it. I added a smidge of purple around the bottom edges as well so it wouldn't be stark white. 

I shaded my tree using a few yellow green copic markers to give it some depth. to create the "lights" I used a white gel pen and Hero Pearls in Cork for the baubles. A gold gel pen gave the star some shine. 

I stamped Santa and his reindeer and my sentiment in Pitch Black before moving on to the starry magic trail. I heat set the magic in white and added a few gold dots with my gel pen. I tied in the gold by mounting my panel on some gold glitter paper then using foam adhesive I adhered it to a Nautical card base.
