Honestly ya'll this may be my favorite kit release so far this year. The Classic Kit has so many amazing stamps and dies to build all kinds of summer scenes!
The Premium Kit brings lots of bling and seashells stencils. The stencils immediately grabbed my attention and so I used the Premium Kit for my card today.
A monochromatic moon scene anyone? YES PLEASE!
Ya'll know blue is my boyfriend, and man he sure does shine in this card. I did lots of ink blending for the outside frame and the background sky. I did mask out the moon before creating the sky as well as mask off the horizon line for my stamping. I spattered on some shimmer spray and white acrylic pant to create my stars.
I used the same blues to stencil my seashells before adding glitter paste to give them some extra shine. I fussy cut them out to create a seashell border around my palm tree silhouette. The water layering stamps make it so easy to create a beautiful reflection for the moon.
I cut two more palm tree silhouettes out of white card stock to give the frame some height before I adhered my seashells in a frame.
this next card has, you guessed it, more ink blending! This one was so fast and easy to make. I masked the horizon line then ink blended my sunset from the bottom to the top using reactive inks.
Then I masked the sky while I inked the water in the same exact order. Here's where the reactive inks come into play. Because they react with water I went in with a clear glitter pan and created water lines. the moisture from the pan moves the ink! I added some highlights and a small sun with my gel pen too.
I stamped my sentiment in black and then added my die cut frame to complete the card.

ReplyDeleteI used to live aboard a sailboat, and I usually stayed up all night to do night watches. I loved nights where a bright, full moon dominated the sky, and your card image brings me back in time to those days.
