I had such a hard time choosing which flower to start with. The Big & Bold series was what originally made me fall in love with Colorado Craft company. A large flower stamp is literally the dream of my heart lol. I opted to go with the Bird of Paradise.
After I stamped the image down I colored up the flower with my Copic markers I wanted to create a fun and colorful background. I started by coloring several different shades of green in general leaf shapes.
I then went in with Colorless blender and dropped spots into the background with a pipette. I had to be careful not too put too much down to close to the actual focal point but I think it came out pretty cool.
I have a another idea for these beauties that I'm hoping to share later this week.

ReplyDeleteBirds of Paradise, a difficult but beautiful flower all in one. It really challenges the artistic mind. I got my exposure from working in a florist center. It can intimidate, but it is amazing when we make it artful and striking like God wanted it to be. Two thumbs up to you. You caught its essence beautifully.
